At Fostering People, we’re committed to ensuring our carers provide the best possible care for the children they foster. And we’ve been doing it for almost 15 years.
Established in 2000 by experienced social workers, we started out as a local fostering agency in the East Midlands. We’ve grown over the years, but our ethos remains the same. We still pride ourselves on offering our carers excellent, personal support within their local community.
We are an independent fostering agency that has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, not just once, but twice, so it’s no surprise that we’re now the preferred fostering provider for all local authorities in the North East and Yorkshire and a first choice for local authorities across the rest of England. This means our foster carers can trust us to provide them with frequent, stable fostering placements that will match their family’s needs.
In fact, it’s helped us to achieve an exceptionally high satisfaction rate, with nine out of ten of our foster carers saying they feel respected and listened to in their role.
This is also true of Fostering People Scotland where a recent review by the Care Inspectorate graded the care we offer as ‘Very Good’.
We pride ourselves on our local and friendly approach. In fact, our experienced team work hard to ensure you receive the support you need to change children’s lives.
From regular support groups to our local training courses and out of hours service, we’re always here for you – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
“This agency works incredibly proactively, they genuinely care for the children. It has been absolutely fabulous working with them on research into recruitment and community engagement.”
