Warwickshire County Council now requires all schools across the county to meet the same special educational needs and duties.

Warwickshire has 2725 children and young people with a statement of SEN.

Whilst we are still accepting referrals and attending group activities, please be aware that the Core Assets Independent Support Programme will be closing on the 31st July 2018. Independent Support was always intended to be a time limited resource, supporting the transition from statements to EHCPs. From August 2018 onwards, parents, children and young people will continue to be able to access information, advice and support on statutory assessment and annual reviews from your local SEND IASS.

Warwickshire’s Approach to the SEND Reforms

Warwickshire’s Local Offer will bring together information on all services and support available across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector, with the aim of making this information more accessible to families and the professionals who work with them. It will include advice and support on a variety of topics such as:

  • The assessment process
  • Early years
  • Transport
  • Education
  • Moving into adult life
