  • We currently have 2843 foster carers worldwide caring for 3408 young people

  • We have looked after over 30,000 children

  • We received 48139 referrals for placements in 2016

  • 39% of our children and young people had been in their current placement for 2 years or more.

  • In a recent carer survey, 91% of carers feel respected and 90% feel well supported.

  • Across Key Assets, 96% of carers are satisfied with their supervising social worker and were 100% satisfied with the way we communicate with them.

  • Our children’s services have over 50 contracts to deliver children and families services

  • Of the young people supported by our Kent Crisis Intervention Service, 65% showed an improvement in ‘total difficulties’ and 59% of the children on Child Protection Plans were safely de-escalated from this level.

  • In 2016 across England and Wales, we delivered 18,139 hours of short break support for 193 disabled children and young people, through an average of 48 activity groups per month.

  • Our new adoption agency, Adopters for Adoption, recruited 23 adopters last year and placed 21 children for adoption.
